Business Fundamentals for Scientists Workshop Series:

The Art of Presence: How to Warm-up for a Presentation

Every time you speak in public it is a performance. Whether with clients or colleagues, a key factor in making an impact is your ability to authentically connect with an audience. Learn tools employed by professional actors to have a more powerful overall presence.

This workshop led by professional actor and director Rob Jansen applies performance techniques to harness your natural presence to communicate in a more clear, persuasive, and engaging way. Applying the tools and practices of performers you will learn how to use your body, breath, and voice to enter a room with more confidence before your next presentation.

Workshop Outcomes:

·       Speak authentically to a group

·       Develop a more dynamic vocal presence

·       Deliver a presentation with more confidence

·       Manage anxiety with public speaking
