IP Strategy  

Most companies need to develop some form of Intellectual Property (IP) strategy using Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights, and/or Trade Secrets. However, many principals do not always appreciate how these rights can be used as part of an overall integrated IP Strategy. Edell, Shapiro, and Finnan will discuss what it means to develop an IP strategy, as well as how the different IP rights can be used in an integrated and cost-effective manner to protect your company’s intellectual property assets and drive innovation. In this presentation, you will learn how the different IP rights intersect, learn to identify the factors that dictate your IP strategy, receive tips for maximizing your return on investment in IP, and learn common pitfalls that need to be avoided to ensure complete IP protection.
