COVID-19 & the Vaccine: Beyond Medical Racism (Teach-in)

Join the next #UMDSolidarity anti-racism teach-in from the Office of Diversity & Inclusion. This event will highlight the history of medical racism in the U.S., as well as how racism influences health disparities and help-seeking. We will also discuss how mass communication might influence race-related perceptions of health care and health disparities and provide some education on the development of the COVID-19 vaccine. There will also be time for your questions.

* Stephen Thomas, Ph.D, (School of Public Health)
* DeNeen Brown, BA (Philip Merrill College of Journalism/The Washington Post)
