Council on the Environment Junior Faculty Award
The Council on the Environment will award a faculty member for outstanding accomplishments over the previous three to five years that raised the profile and visibility of the University through significant contributions to environmental issues across the full range of professional activities: student impact, seminal contributions to the literature, extraordinary service pursuits, and/or collaboration with external non-governmental organizations.Candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated. Nominees or nominators will be responsible for supplying the following required application material. All material is to be in a font size of not less than 12 points and provided electronically in one PDF file to Cathy Stephens (csteph5@umd.edu) by close of business 15 March 2014.
Must Include the following:
•Summary of accomplishments and their relevance to the selection criteria consisting of up to three pages.
•Two testimonials that support the nominee’s accomplishments.
•A short CV (at most 5 pages).
•At most up to 2 additional evidentiary examples of nominees work. (OPTIONAL)
Eligibility:
•Tenured/Tenure-Track Assistant Professors who have successfully completed their 3rd-year review.
•Tenured Associate Professors who are no more than 5 years out from promotion to this rank.
